I believe if we can give free education, including free University studies, the only barrier to employment should be your grades and knowledge! Not your skin tone!

Free education is not the answer. QUALITY education is the only way to get past EE. In South Africa there just isn't enough tax payers to support free quality education for all.....we really are a welfare state at the moment and that has to change....

There is no straight forward answer to EE question, just depend which side you are. Do you know how long is a piece of string? Exactly! I have been employed for over 10 years now by different private organizations, and not one appreciated the need and properly implemented EE initiatives such as AA. Most was just a coincidence. The EE is not only a policy, rather lot to do with the mindset of the leadership of the organization, employees, external influential bodies like labor unions, society and its supporting systems. There’s not one wrong element when it comes to the EE topic, and no element will substitute the other – all to complement one another. There’s also constitutional challenges in implementing EE policy instantly, not a rolling stone. There’s got to be enough or reasonable time to balance the organization according to necessary geographics, EE Plan. I must admit, it becomes rather bitter when truth has to be said to the subject, but there’s got to be a starting point - one is accept the damage caused and realize that something must be done to get somewhere, and that will be at ones expense unfortunately. Let me say, some people take a step back in these dialogues and resolutions, but are happy to monitor progress and duration, whereas never involved. The fair question in this instance (EE) is: What have I done to achieve EE statistics in my workplace? There’s lot be said to the topic, but it’s all but YOU, ME, US.
