Is it better to buy a property at the moment taking into account the state of the global economy or to rent

I agree one has to be cautious and never overextend your risk. But in saying that I would downgrade my lifestyle and own my own property rather than pay off someone else's property investment any day.

I personally really like property as an investment and if I had the capital I would buy, buy, buy at the moment.

I am worried about the world economy. If your job/income is secure and you don't bond the property more than 70% I would buy. But I would be surprised if many people could both those requirements off.
